COORDINATED RESEARCH & CONSERVATION
Our Mission
To identify gaps in knowledge and to promote science-based solutions for the conservation of Prothonotary Warblers and their habitats throughout the annual cycle.

A Species in Decline
Prothonotary Warblers have been declining by >1% per year over the last 50 years. Threatened by habitat loss, building collisions, cowbird parasitism, and climate change, the challenges they face span two continents and solutions must address each of these threats.
How to Help
Do you see or study Prothonotary Warblers on the breeding or wintering grounds? Help us understand nesting success, population densities, or migratory connectivity.
Our Goals

-
Identify and fill knowledge gaps in the breeding, wintering, and migratory ecology of this species.
-
Measure vital rates and better understand full life-cycle dynamics to quantify threats and identify factors that limit population growth.
-
Develop an international conservation plan and implement conservation actions that reverse population declines.
